Terminal 4 is the easiest terminal for Park & Ride
Worth knowing before you compare options: Terminal 4 is the only Heathrow terminal the Park & Ride shuttle reaches directly. Every other terminal means a shuttle to T4 and then Heathrow's free train onward.
So if you fly from T4, Park & Ride is a single ten-minute bus ride with no change, no train, and no dragging cases across the central area. That closes most of the convenience gap with Meet & Greet, at the lower price.
Meet & Greet at Terminal 4
Terminal 4 is also the one exception on the Meet & Greet side. Handovers here happen in the long-stay car park, not the short-stay - sat-nav TW6 3XL. Follow signs for Row A or Row B and park there; your driver meets you at the car.
There is no Level 4 to find at Terminal 4, unlike T2, T3 and T5. Call about 20 minutes before you arrive so the driver is waiting.
Park & Ride to Terminal 4
Park in a marked bay at the compound, keep your keys, and take the free shuttle bus straight to Terminal 4. Around ten minutes, no changes.
Call the car park roughly 30 minutes before you arrive so staff are ready to meet you, check the car over and photograph its condition with you.
The Terminal 4 car park charge
For Meet & Greet, Heathrow charges its own fee for entering and exiting - currently around GBP 8.00 for up to 30 minutes each way. It is the airport's charge, paid by you at the machine, and not included in your booking.
Park & Ride does not incur it, which at Terminal 4 makes the price difference between the two services wider than it first appears.
Is Terminal 4 my terminal?
Check your boarding pass. Terminal 4 sits apart from the central terminal area, so arriving at the wrong one is a longer correction than at T2 or T3.
Coming back to Terminal 4
Meet & Greet: call when you land, then again once you have your bags, and the car is returned to the long-stay car park where you left it.
Park & Ride: the return shuttle picks up at Terminal 4 directly - no train leg needed.
