Gatwick Airport Transfers
Door-to-door transfers between London Gatwick and your address, priced by distance and fixed when you book. North or South Terminal, up to 8 passengers, and your flight tracked on the way home.
Gatwick airport transfers, door to door
A Gatwick airport transfer is a pre-booked car and driver between your address and London Gatwick. When you book, you give us your postcode, flight number, passengers and bags. The fare is worked out from the distance between Gatwick and that postcode and fixed there and then, so there's no meter, no surge pricing and no queue at the taxi rank after a long flight.
North Terminal or South Terminal?
Gatwick has two terminals, and airlines use one or the other. Check your booking or boarding pass before you travel and tell us which terminal you need when you book. Your driver drops you at the right building. If you land at the other one, a free inter-terminal shuttle runs between North and South, so a mix-up costs you a few minutes, not a taxi fare.
Going out
Your driver arrives at the address you booked at the agreed time. Be ready about ten minutes before the pick-up time. The driver helps with the luggage, confirms your return flight details and takes you to your departure terminal.
Coming home
Your inbound flight is tracked, so you don't need to tell us about a delay. Once you have cleared baggage reclaim, call the number on your confirmation and your driver will meet you. Your booking confirmation says where: usually the arrivals hall with a name board, or a pick-up point the driver directs you to.
Waiting beyond 60 minutes after landing may be chargeable by the provider, so call as soon as you have your bags rather than when you get outside.
Which vehicle do I need?
The right car depends on how many people and cases you have. It isn't about the size of the car. As a guide:
- Saloon - up to 3 passengers and 2 large cases.
- Estate - up to 4 passengers and 4 cases.
- MPV - up to 5 passengers and 4 cases.
- 8 seater - up to 8 passengers and 8 cases.
- Executive Saloon or Executive MPV - for business travel, up to 4 or 6 passengers.
Tell us your passengers and luggage when you book and we allocate the smallest vehicle that fits your party. A return journey is priced as a return, which usually works out cheaper than two singles.
The Gatwick drop-off charge
Cars that use the designated drop-off zones outside the North and South Terminals pay a Gatwick charge, currently a minimum of £10, due by midnight the following day. Transfer drivers use the same zones, so check your confirmation to see whether the charge is included in your fare. If you are being dropped off by a friend instead, the Long Stay car parks are free for up to two hours, with a free shuttle bus to the terminals.
Transfers or parking?
A transfer makes sense if nobody needs the car while you're away, or you would rather not drive at all after a late landing. If you fly from Heathrow or Luton and want your own car at the airport, compare Heathrow airport parking or Luton airport parking. For what happens if your flight is late, see airport parking and delayed flights.

Is the Gatwick transfer fare fixed?
Yes. The price is worked out from the distance between Gatwick and the postcode you give at booking, and it is fixed at that point. It does not change with traffic.
Will the driver wait if my flight is delayed?
Your inbound flight is tracked, so a delay does not need reporting. Waiting beyond 60 minutes after landing may be chargeable by the provider, so call once you have your bags.
Is the Gatwick drop-off charge included?
Drop-off zones at Gatwick carry an airport charge, currently a minimum of 10 pounds. Your booking confirmation states whether it is included in your fare.
Which Gatwick terminal will I be dropped at?
The one you tell us at booking - North or South. Check your airline booking first. If you end up at the wrong one, a free inter-terminal shuttle runs between them.
Where will the driver meet me at Gatwick?
Your confirmation says where - usually the arrivals hall with a name board, or a pick-up point the driver directs you to by phone.
What vehicle do I need for 5 people?
An MPV takes up to 5 passengers and 4 large cases. For more bags or more people, an 8 seater takes up to 8 passengers and 8 cases.
